Communications Engineering Club ry (CEC ry) is an association operating under AYY (Aalto Yliopiston Ylioppilaskunta = Aalto Student Union).
The association was founded in 2004 but has been inactive for quite some time. In 2014 a couple of active telecommunications students decided to resurrect the club!

At the moment our goal is to provide a mailing list which distributes a monthly email, which contains:
  - Greetings from professeurs, which might include job positions!
  - Interesting courses recommended by the staff.
  - Information about our upcoming events!

We try to organize events at least once every semester. Information about the events will be supplied through our mailing list.

CEC ry is also responsible for organizing the linux course together with the Department of Communications and Networking. The goal is to offer the students a basic knowledge in working with the linux commandline that will be a necessity in upcoming courses for students majoring in Information Technology (Bachelor degree). The course will be held once per semester and is primarily for second year students majoring in IT.

The membership is free! Members are accepted during the board's monthly meetings. Members are automatically added to the mailing list. Make sure to also join our irc channel #cec @ircnet. We also have a Telegram channel CEC ry. And like us on our facebook page! The channels are for more casual discussion than emails and the facebook page will distribute our upcoming events as will emails. Feel free to join and introduce yourself to other telecommunications students!
